Our Newest Addition, for the Newest Addition to Your Family!

If you’re thinking of starting a family, growing your family, just had a baby, or know someone looking for a good prenatal supplement, our new Prenatal gummies may just be what you’re looking for! With Vitamin K2, Vitamin B6, Methylated Folate, and Ginger in a delicious mango flavored gummy, these are a yummy alternative to traditional Prenatal vitamins!

Why is it important to take a prenatal supplement?

Before and during pregnancy, your body will need extra supplements to ensure your little one is healthy and developing properly! Prenatal supplements provide the nutrients you need to ensure a healthy pregnancy and birth. Ideally, you should start taking prenatal supplements a month before conception and continue taking them for at least the first 12 weeks of pregnancy when your baby’s development is most crucial. In general, taking prenatal vitamins is important to ensure an adequate supply of nutrients for the baby to develop properly and to maintain the mother’s health throughout the pregnancy.

Do I need to continue to take prenatals after I give birth?

Yes, you should continue to take supplements after birth during the postnatal (lactation) period to ensure that your milk production is healthy. Herbaland’s Prenatal gummies taken with the Iron Plus gummies contain all the nutrients you will also need for the postnatal period!

What ingredients are most important for prenatals?

Since prenatals are considered a step up from a multivitamin, they contain special supplements that support healthy development of the child and healthy pregnancy for the mother. Folate, Vitamin K2, B Vitamins, Iron, and Ginger are some of the most important supplements for prenatal health. Here’s what each ingredient helps with:

Methylated folate

When taken before pregnancy, folate helps reduce the risk of birth defects (e.g, neural tube defects, spina bifida). During pregnancy, folate is involved in healthy red blood cell formation. Herbaland’s Prenatal gummies use a form of folate called Methylated Folate, which is the most active and natural form of folate.

Vitamin K2 as MK7

Vitamin K2 It is a fat-soluble vitamin essential for normal blood clotting and it works with Calcium to promote bone metabolism. Clinical studies have shown that Vitamin K2 in the form of MK7 is the most bioavailable version of vitamin K2.

Iron

Consuming adequate amounts of iron during pregnancy will reduce the risk of developing iron deficiency anemia, which can be common in pregnant women!

B Vitamins

B vitamins work together and play key roles as cofactors and enzymes in one-carbon metabolism (involved in amino acid metabolism, energy metabolism, nucleotide metabolism, DNA methylation, and neurotransmitter production). In particular, B vitamins play important roles in the baby's brain development, nervous system development, and central nervous system development.

Ginger

With many women experiencing nausea during the first trimester of pregnancy, ginger can be a great supplement to take as it alleviates feelings of nausea and helps to settle your stomach.
